Llangunllo is a pretty interesting place. Below are some photographs (with comments) recently taken in the village. Click on any image to see a larger version of it.Llangunllo, looking out of the village towards the east. These houses are many hundreds of years old. There are small paths which wind around the village of Llangunllo. This path was probably a fairly major road at one time. Now it is only used by pedestrians. As you can see from the background, many houses in Llangunllo have a very nice view across the valley. The river Lugg runs through Llangunllo. This close to the source the river is not very deep - unless it is in flood! Some children have built a small raft in the river. How refreshing it is to see children playing outdoors instead of being inside on a computer all day. Many houses in Llangunllo village have fields beside or in back of them. A friendly young horse and its mother live in this field. This is an odd sort of horse! What is it doing in the village? Well, she lives there (but only in the summer). The roads into Llangunllo are kind of narrow and twisty (from every direction). Some more than others.... .... but the views are magnificent. This picture is from the road near the village. Pretty much every direction has something nice to look at. The building tucked away on the right is the village hall.
